Sylvania City Council voted Jan. 5 to accept a Tetra Tech proposal to provide professional engineering services for a single‑lane roundabout at the Centennial Road and Little Road intersection.
Service Director Joe Shaw said the city conducted a letter‑of‑interest process and selected Tetra Tech as the most‑qualified firm; scope and fee negotiations yielded a $220,000 proposal covering topographic survey, engineering and right‑of‑way plans. Mr. Shaw said the project was moved into the 2026 budget and that any required right‑of‑way acquisitions would be brought back to council with cost estimates.
Council approved Ordinance 9‑2026 to appropriate $220,000 and accept Tetra Tech’s proposal as an emergency measure. Mr. Shaw said the city will likely present any needed right‑of‑way contracts later in the project timeline.
