ALRB chair names governance subcommittee and welcomes new HR manager; board approves minutes

The Agricultural Labor Relations Board’s chair used the opening of the meeting to introduce Carrie DeGraw as the board’s new HR manager and to announce formation of a governance subcommittee to review and update the board’s delegations of authority.
"I am announcing the establishment of a new subcommittee for the board focused on governance," the Chair said, explaining the group’s first task will be to review the board’s existing and superseded delegations and to propose revisions as appropriate. The Chair said the subcommittee will work with the executive secretary, board counsel, the chief of administration, general counsel, regional directors and other staff as needed and that the membership will include the Chair and Member Cynthia Flores, who has expressed interest in governance.
At the start of the meeting the board considered approval of the previous meeting’s minutes (Dec. 10, 2025). A motion to approve was moved by Bember Broad and seconded by Member Flores; the Chair called for the ayes and the minutes were approved by voice vote. The Chair invited members and staff to meet the new HR manager, who is based in Sacramento.
After business the board recessed to closed session and later reconvened, announcing its next meeting for Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. in Sacramento and online, before adjourning.
