At its Jan. 6 meeting, the Casper City Council approved a series of consent items and routine actions:
- Liquor-license transfers: The council approved the transfer of retail liquor license number 34 (Galloway’s Irish Pub at 2800 CY Avenue) and approved transfers for retail liquor license numbers 22 and 15 after public hearing and no sustained opposition. Several motions were recorded with Councillor Pollock abstaining on specific license votes; motions passed.
- Ordinance adoption: Council approved on second reading a municipal code text amendment to section 17.12.0.21 pertaining to Planning and Zoning Commission meetings. The ordinance passed with all councilors voting aye.
- Consent resolutions and agreements: The council adopted resolutions and agreements covering depositaries and investment firms for 2026, state loan documents for infrastructure projects (screw pump replacement, sanitary sewer interceptor rehabilitation), amendments to purchase-and-sale and memorandum-of-understanding documents, and authorizations for procurement and MOUs. Appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Historic Preservation Commission were also approved as part of the consent agenda.
Votes on consent items were generally unanimous; in several liquor-license transfers the transcript records a single abstention (Councillor Pollock) while the motion otherwise passed.
