Fellowship Road paving wraps up; commissioners approve routine operations items and announce tag office move

County Engineer Dylan Roberts told the Lamar County Commission that the Fellowship Road paving project is largely complete and that final shoulder work and permanent striping may have to wait until spring. "We’re pretty much done paving the lid," Roberts said, noting only small patches and that shoulder work will follow when weather allows.
The commission approved a trial rotation for signing general fund bills among commissioners so each commissioner signs bills on a rotating quarterly basis; Commissioner (Speaker 3) described the rotation plan and the commission approved the motion by voice vote.
The board also approved routine operational items: purchase of a replacement mini computer for the administrator’s office (speaker estimated roughly $200) because the existing Windows 10 machine cannot be upgraded, and other small equipment notes. Commissioners raised cybersecurity and update considerations during the discussion.
In announcements, the presiding commissioner said the tag office is scheduled to move to the annex on November 5, 2025 (the office will be closed that day and is expected to reopen November 6), and that the board of registrars will move equipment on October 24. District commissioners reported grading, hauling gravel, pipe replacements and shoulder cutting on paved and dirt roads.
