Moore council approves housing plats, commercial rezoning and multiple contracts; two property‑acquisition resolutions authorized

The Moore City Council approved a package of land‑use and procurement items during its Jan. 5 meeting, including two final plats, a rezoning for a veterinary clinic, a professional services agreement for tax‑increment financing legal work, park repairs and a major restroom construction contract.

City staff presented the final plat for Mahogany Hills Section 2, describing approximately 19 acres divided into 23 residential lots ranging from one‑half to three‑quarters of an acre, two common drainage/detention areas and a proposed private septic system. The presentation noted the Planning Commission had recommended approval 7–0 and that staff found the application consistent with the Envision Moore 2040 plan and its required 35% open space.
