Woodland City Council completed a series of routine actions at its Jan. 5 meeting, approving appointments, contract extensions and the comprehensive plan final reading.
Key votes and outcomes: Council excused Councilmember Dowdy (motion carried). The council approved the meeting agenda and minutes from the Dec. 15 meeting. Council approved vouchers for December 2025.
On appointments, Councilmember Friend was confirmed as mayor pro tem and was approved as an authorized check signer. Councilmember Burke was appointed chair of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) for a two‑year term. The council approved a retroactive service/membership agreement with the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) that moves the city to a 12‑month termination notice in future agreements.
