At its Nov. 18 meeting the Baldwin County Commission honored three outgoing mayors for decades of municipal service and partnership with the county.
Mayor McMillan of Spanish Fort received a plaque recognizing his service from 2012 through 2025; he thanked the commission and recalled earlier requests made to the board for local projects. The commission also presented a resolution to Mayor Charles Murphy of Robertsdale that detailed his public-service record, including municipal and regional leadership and infrastructure achievements, and took a group photograph. Mayor David Wilson of Summerdale received a resolution and plaque recognizing roughly three decades of service; remarks cited infrastructure investments, a municipal complex and a special‑needs park as highlights of his tenure.
Commissioners praised sustained collaboration between municipal leaders and the county, noting more than 80 combined years of service among the honorees. Representative Matt Simpson presented one of the resolutions on behalf of the Baldwin County delegation. The commission closed the presentation with thanks to staff and to the mayors for their long public service.
