The Little Miami Local School District board selected its 2026 leadership and adjusted its regular meeting schedule during an organizational session.

Nominations for board president produced two candidates, Dave Wallace and Diane Horvath. After firsts and seconds were recorded, the board voted by roll call and elected Dave Wallace president by a 3–2 margin. "I appreciate the confidence from my fellow board members," Wallace said after the vote.

For vice president, the board voted to select Mandy Bullock in a roll-call vote.

The board also discussed start times and dates for regular meetings. After conversation about community conflicts and treasurer reporting cycles, members agreed to move regular meetings to 6:00 p.m. and to hold them on the fourth Wednesday of each month, with November and December returning to the third Wednesday because of holiday scheduling.

Board members debated adding a special meeting on Jan. 13 and asked that any additional meeting be circulated with an agenda in advance; the chair said he would call a special meeting on Jan. 13 and provide an agenda in the coming days.

Next steps: the board will publish the updated calendar and meeting times and proceed with scheduled meetings; officer assignments and liaison roles announced during the meeting will take effect immediately for organizational purposes.
