Fort Myers Beach opens RFP for financial auditing services, receives five proposals

The Town of Fort Myers Beach opened proposals for RFP Dash26Dash04FN, titled "financial auditing services," at 2:15 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2026, and announced it received five proposals by the 2:00 p.m. submission deadline. "So as of 2PM this afternoon, we received a total 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 proposals submitted," the meeting facilitator stated.

The town said the RFP had been issued on Dec. 8, 2025 and that one addendum had been issued; the transcript lists an addendum date that appears inconsistent with the RFP issuance and the town did not provide a clarifying date on the record. The five responding firms were named as Carr, Riggs, and Ingram LLC (Melbourne, Fla.), Citrin Cooperman (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), Alden and Jenkins LLC (Bradenton, Fla.), Hill, Barth and King LLC (Warrendale, Pa.), and Grau and Associates (Boca Raton, Fla.). The facilitator said each firm’s submission "looked like they have submitted all their required documents."

The facilitator said all proposals will be forwarded to the town’s selection advisory committee for review. The committee has a public meeting scheduled for Jan. 15, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in council chambers at Fort Myers Beach Town Hall, 6231 Estero Boulevard. The facilitator reiterated that the selection-advisory meeting is open to the public. No awards or contract decisions were made at the Jan. 7 proceeding; the meeting was adjourned at about 2:19 p.m.

Next steps: the selection advisory committee will review the submissions at the Jan. 15 public meeting; the town did not specify a timeline for final selection or contract award during the Jan. 7 proceeding.
