Boone County commissioners adopted Ordinance 2025-16, an amendment to chapter 111, following a second reading and a brief public hearing with no speakers.
"This is just the second reading," said Abby of the Boone County Health Department, who noted that the highlighted sections in the ordinance reflect the proposed changes. The board opened and closed a public hearing with no public comment and then voted to approve the ordinance by voice.
The transcript records the second reading and the adoption vote but does not include a roll-call tally. County staff said they were available to answer questions about the changes; none were raised during the meeting.
