Henry County commissioners on Dec. 16 approved two contracts for the sheriff's office: a five‑year IT service agreement with Digital Computer Works and an auto‑renewal/contract approval for a digital evidence management system with FNA Technologies.
Sheriff Brown and Captain Bilbert attended the meeting to review the sheriff's budget and technology needs. Commissioner Mark Larson moved to approve the five‑year IT service contract with Digital Computer Works; Commissioner Jay Bradley seconded and the motion carried on a roll‑call vote. The board then approved the contract/auto‑renewal for the Digital Evidence Management System and FNA Technologies as part of the sheriff's technology package.
Sheriff Brown also reported that inmate meal and medical costs in the inmate security fund had exceeded projections and that the meals line would need an adjustment to account for higher daily jail population. Commissioners recorded those budgetary considerations alongside the contract approvals. The clerk will record contract terms and the county will follow standard procurement and contract‑management procedures for implementation.
