Forest Hills board approves officers and minutes, votes to enter closed session for superintendent evaluation

At a January 7 special meeting, the Forest Hills Board of Education approved its proposed officer slate, approved minutes from the December meeting and voted to enter a closed session to conduct the superintendent's evaluation.

The board read a slate of officers — Kristen Foster as president, Maggie Tryon as vice president, Mallory Neinemeier as secretary and CJ Mashad as treasurer — and approved the slate by voice vote after brief discussion about transition planning and continuity. The board also voted by voice to approve the December meeting minutes.

Later in the meeting a board member moved and another seconded a motion "to go into closed session pursuant to MCL 15 2 68 1 a" for the purpose of conducting the superintendent's evaluation. The board held a roll call and recorded affirmative responses before entering closed session. The transcript records seven affirmative responses during roll call; no opposing or abstaining votes were recorded in the available transcript.

The meeting returned to open session after the closed meeting.
