On Jan. 6 the Prattville City Council approved multiple routine actions and contracts during its regular meeting.
The council unanimously approved a professional services agreement with Skipper Consulting Inc. for traffic‑signal engineering to support the Montgomery MPO carbon reduction program. The contract covers engineering for signal improvements at East Main Street intersections (Chestnut, Washington and Northington) at a cost not to exceed $71,100, funded from the FY2026 capital projects fund for East Main Street signals.
Council also authorized a three‑year renewal with Rivertree Systems Inc. for examination and auditing services at a rate of $75 per hour, effective Jan. 21, 2026 through Jan. 20, 2029. A staff speaker told the council Rivertree’s audits over the past three years have cost the city between about $10,000 and $95,000 annually depending on work volume and in some years generated more than $500,000 in revenue recoveries.
The council adopted consent agenda items 1–10 unanimously; those items included nuisance abatements, acceptance of subdivision improvements, capitalization‑threshold adjustments and lien releases. Several councilors noted the routine nature of those items and there was little debate.
All three measures were adopted by voice or show-of-hands vote during the meeting.
