Following executive sessions on pending litigation, Councilor (speaker 3) moved to approve defense and indemnification for Clark County employees named as defendants in Jamie Lynette Allen v. Clark County et al., U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington. The motion named Judge Gregory Gonzales and Commissioner Jill Sasser and cited Clark County Code sections 2.97.025 and 2.95.090 (SEG 3070–3077).

A second was offered (SEG 3082) and the chair called for the ayes. Multiple councilors responded "Aye" and the chair declared the motion carried (SEG 3084–3087). The council offered no further comment on the litigation in open session and adjourned immediately after the vote (SEG 3088–3089).
