Staff said the legislature chose to require cities to adopt a process, with a goal of minimizing public hearings and administrative cost to applicants, and noted the city would continue to evaluate compatibility and other local criteria in that review.
After brief public-comment opportunity, the board moved to recommend approval; roll-call votes were recorded as 'Yes'. The recommendation goes to the City Commission for final action.
