The court approved several routine but substantive items on Jan. 6:
- Kentucky ambulance block grant: Debbie Barry (EMS) requested $10,000 from the Kentucky Board of EMS to purchase lifting devices for ambulances and to update dispatch IT hardware. The court authorized Judge Vogel to sign the grant application; the grant requires no county match.
- Pillar grant resolution: The court approved Resolution O1010626 to authorize judge signature on application documents for a $250,000 Pillar grant to support housing for adults with disabilities.
- Erosion-control surety bond release: County engineer Jim Silliman reported that the Leonard Number 8 Warehouse site in LaGrange conformed to plans and ordinances; the court released a check/surety in the amount of $15,692.95.
- Promotion: The court confirmed the promotion of Greg Beck to permanent dispatch director at an annual salary of $95,888, effective immediately.
- Appointments: The court approved reappointments and appointments to local boards: Bob Durbin and Jay Hall to the Oldham County Water District Board through Jan. 1, 2030, and David Gray reappointed to the Oldham County Board of Adjustments through Jan. 1, 2030.
- Accounts payable: The court approved payables for the two-week period after discussion, including an Encompass Development Designs invoice of $78,430.65 that Magistrate Lykins asked to review; the court did not withdraw the item and approved payment by voice vote.
All items passed by voice vote and the court will carry follow-up reporting and documentation as appropriate at future meetings.
