The Milford Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a collective bargaining agreement between the city and the Milford Police Dispatchers Union covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029. The contract was considered after a brief executive session on personnel matters and passed by voice vote.
Separately, the board considered a resolution establishing a committee and authorizing activities for the 250th anniversary celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Aldermen proposed and accepted minor grammatical and clarity amendments; the Economic Development Director, Robert g Townes, said the committee will handle logo and event planning and that Milford will coordinate with state and national commemorative efforts. The resolution passed unanimously as amended.
What happens next: the city will file the executed collective bargaining agreement and the 250th committee will begin meeting to plan events, branding and outreach.
