The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners and the Board of Equalization met Jan. 6 and approved several routine and project actions.
Board of Equalization and consent items: The Board of Equalization approved the consent equalization agenda by motion (motion by Burmeister, second by Kelly). The county board later approved the routine commissioners’ consent agenda (motion by Kelly, second by Nixon); both motions carried.
Tax corrections: Item 6.1, covering tax-correction dockets 17692–17697 and 17697–17710, was presented with Dan Pittman (Assessor) available for questions. A motion to approve the tax corrections was made (motion by Commissioner Kelly, second by Commissioner Mixon) and the motion carried.
HVAC contract award (Resolution listed on the agenda as "20 26 six-seven"): Beth Garber, assistant county administrator, reported the purchasing department received three bids for the boardroom HVAC upgrade. The low bid was from Fluid Mechanical LLC for $165,000; the high bid was $218,792. Commissioners voted to award the contract to Fluid Mechanical LLC (motion by Warren, second by Nixon). Work is scheduled to begin in April 2026 and be completed by May 2026.
