Camden County approves alcohol licenses and several appointments; multiple reappointments accepted

The Camden County Board of Commissioners approved multiple routine licenses and appointments during its July 6 meeting.
Staff introduced a public hearing item for an alcohol license for Bluff Life at Huck's (1979 Harriot's Bluff Road, Woodbine). On motion and second the board approved the license as recommended by staff.
The board also approved an alcohol license for Snappy Beverages (5480 U.S. Highway 17 North Unit 1, Kingsland) after staff reported the application was complete and reviewed by the sheriffs office.
On appointments, the board moved to appoint Chris Rowland as a citizen member of the Saint Marys River Management Committee and separately moved to appoint Ben Casey as the elected-official member; both motions were seconded and announced as carried.
The board reappointed Craig Root to the Coastal Area District Development Authority (Decatur) by motion and voice vote.
Earlier in the special-called session the board also reaffirmed employment contracts (a transparency measure) and accepted motions for reappointment of other committee seats; those routine items were handled with motions, seconds and voice votes.
