County manager and commissioners highlight behavioral health youth unit and thank first responders

County manager Lorinda Volker opened her remarks by thanking outgoing Chair Kristen Stevens for her 2025 leadership and by noting that employees appreciated a comparatively slow holiday period. Volker said she looked forward to working with Chair Jody Shattuck McNally and Commissioner John Kefalas in 2026.
Chair Jody Shattuck McNally used her remarks to acknowledge first responders, describe community outreach and cite a behavioral health operations change: "one of those was, starting the youth unit at our behavioral health center to keep youth longer than 23 hours," she said. The board did not take formal action on the behavioral health topic during the meeting; the chair presented it as an operational highlight.
Shattuck McNally also described visiting Loveland Fire Rescue Authority stations during the holidays and referenced a "Keep the Wreath Red" fire-safety program. The meeting adjourned at 9:09:26 a.m.
