The Stonecrest City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 2 to adopt a resolution designating authorized signatories on all Citibank accounts and authorizing execution of related banking documents, the city clerk read.
Councilwoman Alicia Washington moved to adopt the resolution naming the mayor, mayor pro tem, city manager, deputy city manager and finance director as authorized signatories; the motion was seconded and carried 5–0. The preamble read by the clerk described the action as necessary to authorize bank document execution “for other lawful purposes” and to preserve operational continuity.
Council members did not debate the substance of the resolution in the public record; the vote was recorded in the meeting as unanimous. The council proceeded from the vote to other agenda items, including the election of a mayor pro tem and a brief recess to an executive session.
