At the start of its session the Tippecanoe County Drainage Board confirmed leadership and approved routine administrative items.

An unidentified board member nominated Tom Murtaugh for president; the nomination was approved by voice vote. The board then nominated and approved Commissioner Byers as vice president by voice vote.

The board also nominated Tara Wood to serve as the drainage board's 2026 executive administrator; that nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote. After leadership appointments, the board moved to approve the minutes from the Dec. 10 meeting; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.

Each of these actions was recorded as approved by voice vote; the transcript records ‘‘aye’’ responses but no roll-call tallies.
