Dunn County commissioners approve routine administrative items, reappointments and organizational slate

By voice vote the board approved the list of county depositories required under Century Code, continuing Rivera Bank, First International Bank & Trust, Union Bank and Dakota Community Bank & Trust as county banks. The board approved vouchers with a minor clerical correction and authorized staff to transfer tax deeds back to property owners who had paid liens during the county’s tax deed action.
The board approved a 2026 beer and liquor license for J and S Investments at Mackenzie Bay Marina. Commissioners also adopted portfolio assignments for 2026 and reappointed members to the planning and zoning and park boards as presented.
Holly, the tax director, told the board she had recently had a staffing change and requested permission to contract part‑time, state‑certified assessors to help meet assessment deadlines; commissioners authorized the tax director to secure temporary contract help pending review of contract language by the state’s attorney.
Separately, the road department proposed donating a retired crack sealer to the city of Kildeer; commissioners approved the donation on a roll-call vote. Commissioners discussed scheduling a workshop to review multi‑year road priorities and pay scales.
