Escambia County’s Contractor Competency Board reviewed a final order from Santa Rosa County and, after moving relevant documents into evidence, found David Rademacher in violation and imposed local discipline consistent with the out-of-jurisdiction decision.
Staff presented Santa Rosa County’s final order, which the board recorded as having revoked Rademacher’s license. The board has the authority under county code to suspend or revoke local certificates of competency and to assess fines up to $5,000. After confirming the appeal in Santa Rosa County had been denied, the board voted to find Rademacher in violation and voted to revoke his Escambia County certificate and assess fines consistent with the prior ruling.
Members also voted to forward a recommendation to the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) to consider revocation or other action at the state level. The motion to recommend state-level review and revocation was approved by the board.
