The Sports Pavilion committee agreed at its Jan. 7 meeting to add a short policy clarification to BO5 so that house leagues operated by Johnson Lanes give Sun City West residents priority for available openings.

Reading the proposed text, the chair told the committee: "These leagues, Sun City West residents take priority over non residents to fill available openings in those leagues." Committee members expressed support and the chair said she would pass the language to President Novello and Karen to have it added to BO5.

Members noted the change applies only to "house leagues" run directly by Johnson Lanes, not to leagues operated by outside organizers. No formal roll-call vote or amendment text was recorded in the meeting transcript; the committee indicated consensus and tasked the chair with forwarding the language for inclusion.

The committee did not change fees or enrollment rules at the meeting; staff and members said more formal policy documents would be updated through the association’s established procedures.
