Following an executive session on Nov. 20 to consider applicants for the interim-superintendent search under board policy 9321, the Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District Board of Education voted to advance four finalists: Sherry Bullard, Scott Huff, Dan Ortez and Richard Rollman.
A board member moved to advance the four candidates and the motion carried on a roll call vote. The board scheduled interviews with the finalists for Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m.; interviews will be held via Zoom and members of the public can observe the interviews while the board will return to executive session to deliberate and may make a selection at that time.
The board said it plans to hold interviews with the finalists and then enter executive session to discuss deliberations and next steps for filling the interim-superintendent role.
