Wall Township Board elects James Malouf president, Tom Buffa vice president

The Wall Township Board of Education voted to install James Malouf as board president and Tom Buffa as vice president during its 2026 reorganization meeting, board members said.

The nominations for president and vice president were made from the floor and confirmed by roll-call votes. Following the vote the incoming president thanked the board and opened the meeting’s candidate interviews for a single vacancy.

Board members said the leadership choices reflect continuity as the district transitions into the new year. "Thank you," the newly elected president said after the roll call. The vice president acknowledged the board before the panel began interviewing seven applicants for the open seat.

The meeting proceeded directly to candidate interviews and later to executive session for deliberations.
