Alpharetta staff plans marketing push, year-end review and SelectUSA participation
Development Authority of Alpharetta · January 8, 2026
Economic development staff said it will publish a 2025 year-end review, target commercial brokers and site selectors, sponsor the Site Selectors Guild event, and participate with the state at SelectUSA; transportation projects such as the GA‑400 express lanes and McGinnis Ferry interchange will be highlighted.
Alpharetta — Economic development partners outlined plans to promote Alpharetta to brokers and site selectors and to highlight local transportation projects in upcoming marketing efforts.
Charlie, speaking for economic development, said staff is assembling the first economic development year-end review for 2025 as a community-facing marketing piece. The review will include sections on business investment, real estate activity, placemaking, transportation and tourism. "We're in the process of pulling together the first ever economic development year end review," Charlie said.
Staff said the review will be released ahead of the authority's next meeting and used in outreach campaigns to commercial brokers, site selectors and regional partners. The authority plans a small sponsorship and attendance at the Site Selectors Guild spring conference and will partner with the state in the SelectUSA pavilion organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
On transportation, Charlie noted planned emphasis on the Georgia 400 express lane project and the McGinnis Ferry Road interchange to improve access to the Windward District. Members also praised placemaking work on the Alpha Loop and requested continued tracking of how projects meet projected outcomes.
Staff did not provide an exhaustive budget for the marketing activities at the meeting, and said more details would be shared when the review is released.
