The Big 4 Trailhead at Sam Ralston will be closed for about a week beginning Monday for utilities work; staff said repairs will include gravel and possibly asphalt to improve the parking lot. The parks department will share closure notices on social media.
The department is hiring for seasonal positions at Seashore Waterpark; applicants must be at least 15 years old and open interviews will be held Jan. 14 (3:30–6:30 p.m.) and Feb. 14 (10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) at the park office. Pool parties are booking quickly and the department requires a 50% deposit for reservations.
Board members did not take formal action on these operational items.
