The Baldwin County Commission on Dec. 2 handled routine business including minutes, bills and a consent-agenda change and recognized an outgoing police chief.
The commission adopted the Nov. 18, 2025 minutes after a motion and second (SEG 042–055). It approved payment of bills totaling $7,000,975.75 (covering 8,897 invoices plus $136.55) following a motion and second (SEG 059–062, SEG 063–069). The commission also ratified interim payments allowed by policy 8.1 in the amount of $4,933,699.44 covering 102 invoices (SEG 071–074).
During the consent agenda the commission noted two changes: the February meeting date will move from Feb. 17 to Feb. 19 because of Mardi Gras, and staff recommended removal of item CR6 (SEG 084–096). The consent agenda passed (SEG 091–103).
The commission presented a certificate of recognition to the outgoing police chief for service from 2017 to 2025 and arranged a photo with family and staff (SEG 105–126). Commissioners offered general remarks, thanked staff for a clean audit and requested prayers for Circuit Judge Jody Bishop after heart surgery (SEG 545–556, SEG 579–583).
With no further business, the chair adjourned the meeting (SEG 870).
