The Dickinson City Commission adopted Ordinance 18‑44 on Jan. 6, a second reading to adopt Chapter 18 (International Fire Code) to align the city with state fire and building codes.

Staff reported no changes since the first reading and the commission moved to approve the ordinance on second reading with all commissioners voting aye.

The adoption aligns the city code with ICC/ state standards; staff said the public hearing had already been held at the earlier reading and no new public comments were offered at second reading.
