Charter Clubs committee recommends revised RRMPs to governing board after working-group review

Members of the RRMP working group presented a redlined draft of proposed revisions to the charter clubs’ Rules, Regulations and Management Procedures (RRMPs), noting most comments focused on clarifying language and fixing auto-numbering issues. The working group highlighted a new accommodation checklist to standardize and document accommodation requests from clubs.

Committee members discussed the process for moving the RRMPs forward. Chair Nick Turner said that if the committee had no further changes it could recommend the RRMPs today to the governing board in the board’s scheduled workshop the coming Friday; Casey confirmed the rec center would notify club presidents and post the updated RRMPs if the governing board approved them. Members recalled recent governing-board edits to the RRMPs last year and acknowledged the board could still remove or alter changes.

After questions and remarks, the committee agreed it had adequate time to consider the revisions and the chair moved to advance the RRMPs with the committee’s recommendation. No objections were recorded and the chair said he would introduce the revisions at the workshop, inviting working-group members to attend in case questions arise.

The committee’s recommendation is procedural—the governing board retains final authority and may alter, adopt or return the revisions to the committee. Committee members urged clear communication with club presidents because many officers are elected at different times of year and may be unfamiliar with the changes unless notified.
