During the January meeting the Show Low School District board ratified December financial items and approved an annual sole-source contract for radio and repeater service.
Miss Davis explained that payroll voucher 15 included a teacher performance-payment item, which contributed to higher payroll totals for the month. Board members questioned voucher batch 2627 and were told it included two software purchases from Compass (behavioral intervention software) used to support the district’s PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) initiative; staff confirmed these are curriculum/software purchases, not insurance-funded services.
After discussion a board member moved to approve the financial agenda items and the board approved the ratification by voice vote. Separately, Miss Davis explained that CNM Communications is the only provider in the area with sufficient reception for the district’s radios and repeaters; the board approved CNM Communications as a sole-source vendor on an annual basis.
The board also accepted four donations: $25 from Jackson Fillingham for a junior-high science lab; $92.80 from American Legion Post 76 for cold-and-flu supplies at NAHE; $3,000 from Casey and Paula Williams for birthday gift cards and Christmas books at NAHE; and $1,078.65 from George and Patty McCullough for third-grade dictionaries. The gifts were accepted with thanks.
