The Nampa City Council voted to authorize the mayor to sign a resolution amending chapters 4, 5 and 8 of the city’s Nampa 2040 comprehensive plan to redefine the downtown core.
City staff introduced the action and explained the amendment changes to the plan’s table of contents and the downtown core definition. During the roll call the motion recorded five votes in favor and one opposed; the mayor declared the motion carried.
The resolution will be signed by the mayor and directs staff to proceed with the plan-text changes as described in the motion. No fund appropriations were reported during the discussion; the action modifies policy guidance in the comprehensive plan and is intended to guide future zoning and development decisions in downtown Nampa.
