The Personnel and Administration Committee of the St. Louis City Board of Aldermen met Jan. 8, 2026, approved the minutes from Dec. 23, 2025, and voted to go into a closed session to discuss personnel matters.

An unidentified committee member moved to approve the Dec. 23, 2025 minutes; another member seconded the motion and the clerk recorded affirmative roll-call responses. The committee then considered a motion "that the personnel committee for the Board of Aldermen go into closed session under the provisions of section 610.0211 and 610.022 in order to permit the members of the committee to discuss matters related to the hiring, firing, disciplining, or promoting of employees." The committee chair noted the motion had been offered by the "alderwoman from the tenth," and asked STLTV to place the meeting into closed session: "STLTV if you could please place us in closed session."
