The Muncie-Delaware Metropolitan Plan Commission on a unanimous vote approved a resolution to update the City of Muncie's official zoning map with 12 rezonings heard in 2025 and forwarded a favorable recommendation to City Council.

Director Eileen presented MPC 01-26A and noted three minor technical corrections to individual cases: MPC 13-24-Z (the Janine Souders revocable trust) should list Harrison Township; MPC 11-205-Z (Robert Huddleston) was updated to include a vacated alley in the GIS map; and MPC 12-25-Z (James Doherty) has the correct township listed as Mount Pleasant. Eileen said council had already noted these corrections and staff included them in the packet.

After a brief confirmation that the body was considering Exhibit A (the city map) only, a motion to approve the city map changes was made, seconded and approved on voice vote with seven yeses and zero noes. Eileen said the commission's favorable recommendation will be introduced to City Council at its February meeting at 6:45 p.m.

The decision advances final consideration to the City Council; staff did not report additional conditions attached to the recommendation.
