Board passes a package of ordinances and resolutions, including contract and grant amendments and tax suspension extension

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on Dec. 16 adopted a slate of ordinances and resolutions spanning tax policy, litigation settlements, contract amendments and grants.

Key outcomes at a glance

- Item 16: Resolution authorizing a five-year lease extension for La Cocina at 101 Hyde St. (through 12/31/2031) with no change to the $12,000 annual base rent; adopted without objection.

- Item 21: Resolution approving the sixth amendment to the DPH agreement with Bayview Hunters Point Foundation to provide mental health and substance-abuse services, extending term to 06/30/2028 and increasing the amount by ~$7.5M to a new total of $25,600,000; unanimous vote.

- Item 23: Resolution authorizing an MOU between the SFPD and the U.S. Capitol Police for supplemental law-enforcement services (01/01/2026–12/31/2026); adopted without objection.

- Items 25–27: Historic property contracts approved for several properties (530 Jackson St., 1035 Howard St., 331 Pennsylvania Ave.) and authorization for recordation by the planning director and assessor-recorder; adopted without objection.

- Item 28: Commemorative street name adding "Brian Craig Kelly Way" on Hollister Avenue adopted without objection.

- Item 29: Motion approving mayoral appointment of Masa Hakimi to the successor agency commission (term ending 11/03/2028); motion approved.

- Item 33 / Special orders: Appeal hearings for a tentative parcel map (3333 Mission / 190 Coleridge) were continued to Feb. 3, 2026 by motion of Supervisor Fielder, seconded by Supervisor Chen.

- Item 42: Resolution supporting federal legislation (Housing Boom Building Occupancy Opportunities for Millions Act, Senate Bill 3464) to increase federal housing investment; amended to include correct bill numbers and adopted.

- Item 43: Resolution supporting the International Brotherhood of Teamsters' organizing effort at the DCK6 Amazon warehouse in Bayview; Supervisor Cheryl recused herself and was excused from the vote; roll call recorded 10 ayes and the resolution was adopted.

- Item 44: Resolution condemning actions described as an attack on higher education and affirming academic freedom; unanimous vote; resolution adopted.
