Deputy Chief Sayumi Bridal presented details for the donation, saying the department would receive roughly 70 desks and 90 office chairs and that items would be distributed throughout headquarters and some fire stations. Bridal said the ethics city attorney reviewed the offer and found no conflict so long as the department spreads the items across the organization and reports the donation under current city ethics commission procedures.
A commissioner moved approval and another seconded; the commission then called votes. The meeting record shows the presiding officers and voting commissioners each recorded "aye," and the motion passed. No amendments or conditions were recorded on the floor. The department said it will handle donation reporting consistent with city policy and distribute items to stations and administrative offices based on need.
The resolution now goes to the Board of Supervisors for final authorization and acceptance of the donation.
