The Terminal 3 West Courtyard 4 connector included a multi‑level connector and facade details responsive to sun exposure.
Commissioners praised the integration of art and civic design and discussed how CDR provides a "humanities lens" in projects often driven by technical and engineering constraints. Several commissioners urged colleagues and the public to attend the commission streamlining task force meeting on Dec. 3 to ask questions about a proposal under discussion to move CDR functions under the Planning Commission, emphasizing the importance of coordination between CDR and the Visual Arts Committee.
No formal vote to change governance occurred at the Dec. 1 meeting; commissioners recorded strong support for CDR's role in integrating public art and the user experience into airport projects.
