Committee approves forwarding Aramark jail food contract to full Board with amended renewal options

The contract includes three meals daily for inmates, staff coffee and garbage service, and an IntoWork training program tied to ServSafe credentialing. The BLA recommended aligning option language with the RFP, and committee members asked for data on prior certification numbers and the projected trainees under the new contract prior to the Board vote. The committee approved the amended resolution and forwarded it to the full Board with a positive recommendation (3–0).
Ending: The amended contract moves to the full Board; staff committed to provide historical counts of training/certification and to implement BLA-recommended technical edits.
