SAN FRANCISCO — The Port Commission moved and unanimously adopted the consent calendar, approving a set of lease amendments, contract actions and calendar items, and authorizing a settlement tied to a reported fuel leak at Hyde Street Harbor.
Among the consent items: amendments to a lease with California Barrel Company for interim open‑space improvements (Resolution 2570), retroactive authorization to modify Contract No. 2848 for Round House II roof work (Resolution 2571), authorization for public works to advertise and award Contract No. 2873 (Pier 96 Crane demolition, not‑to‑exceed $5,255,218, Resolution 2572), and adoption of the 2026 Port Commission calendar (Resolution 2574).
The most consequential item in public notice was staff’s recommendation to authorize a settlement in Pilot Thomas Logistics, LLC v. City and County of San Francisco (San Francisco Superior Court, Case No. CGC‑22‑601688). Staff reported the proposed settlement includes payment of $5,000,000 to the city, mutual releases, and Pilot Thomas’s agreement to perform remediation necessary to comply with an October 25, 2024 cleanup order from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board. That settlement was included in Resolution 2575.
The consent calendar passed by unanimous voice vote.
