Board approves consent agenda, SCTA interlocal agreement, settlements and final plats

The Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners approved routine consent items, transportation authority business and several legal and planning items on Feb. 11.
The board approved consent items 2–18 on a single motion. It then recessed as the Board of County Commissioners and convened as the Sarasota County Transportation Authority to approve an interlocal agreement with Manatee County regarding FTA formula funding apportionment; commissioners said the updated arrangement corrects an inequity dating to an earlier formula arrangement and will save Sarasota County money over time.
County Attorney Josh presented settlement recommendations in two personnel/civil cases: Amy Lynn Stepanich v. Sarasota County (rear-end crash involving a county truck) and Ellen Ruth Ann Bell v. Sarasota County (trip-and-fall at the historic courthouse). The board moved and seconded settlements and approved them unanimously.
The board also approved final plat approvals for WildBlue at Waterside Phase 2B, Hawkstone, and Shellstone at Waterside Phases 3A and 4B by motion and voice vote.
All items were approved unanimously per the meeting record; no dissenting votes were recorded.
