Wellington magistrate upholds multiple code violations, sets compliance deadlines and fines across properties

Where no representative appeared, the magistrate typically adopted staff recommendations.
Significant outcomes included: a 2026-01-05 compliance date and a $50-per-day fine for an unpermitted building-permit case at 9623 Shepherd Place (Spencer IV & Nina V Carpenter Revocable Trust); a denial of extensions in some matters; five-year cease-and-desist orders for unpermitted building work in several cases; and $25-per-day fines for many property-maintenance and landscaping violations, commonly with administrative costs ranging roughly $12–$48 depending on the case.
