Chair (Speaker 1) said he had not seen plans but had been told by a reliable source that "there is an additional 100 feet of easement, that is not cleared that exists, behind your house." The board discussed easement rights and the limits of municipal authority: Speaker 3 explained some state statutes and the transmission-line siting process can favor utilities and that many projects fall within exceptions that do not require state siting review or public hearings.
Speaker 5 (staff) said he would inquire with FPL and suggested contacting FPL external affairs to request designs and a briefing.
