The Stephenson County Public Works Committee approved a federal participation agreement to seal-coat 5.6 miles of Orangeville Road, with a federal share of $225,600 and a local share of $56,400.
Staff described the work as a double-seal following cold-place recycling with aggregate shoulder wedges and said the project will be let on the state schedule after IDOT plan review. "The federal share is 225,600. Local share is 56,400," a county engineering staff member said during the presentation.
Mr. Martin moved to approve the resolution and Mr. Newton seconded. Chair called for the ayes; the motion passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
County staff said the funding was discussed as an 80/20 federal-local split and confirmed project mileage at 5.6 miles. No formal dissent or conditions were recorded. The committee did not request further amendments; staff will proceed with the letting and associated steps.
The resolution was approved during the meeting; the committee did not set a separate implementation date during the discussion.
