The Hoover City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 12 to adopt Ordinance No. 25-26-86, authorizing an intergovernmental agreement with Jefferson County to donate a small parcel of city-owned land for a right-of-way and to grant a temporary construction easement.
As read by the city attorney, "This is an ordinance authorizing the execution of an intergovernmental, agreement with Jefferson County for the donation of city owned property for a right of way and to grant a temporary construction easement." The attorney described the parcel as "a very small parcel, 1 hundredth, I think, of an acre."
Council member Schulz moved to adopt the ordinance, a second followed, and Miss Dickerson called the roll. Each council member recorded an "Aye" and the attorney announced "The 7 ayes, the ordinance passes." No public comment was recorded on the item.
The ordinance transfers the specified parcel to Jefferson County for right-of-way purposes and authorizes the mayor to execute the necessary documents.
Council did not attach additional conditions in the meeting record.
