The Southern Nevada Enterprise Community Board agreed to advertise openings for two community representatives from all wards, accept letters of interest and resumes, and to agendize filled candidate submissions at a future meeting; staff said applications will be posted with the agenda and accepted by email.
The Southern Nevada Enterprise Community (SNCC) Board voted to move forward with advertising two openings for community representatives and to accept letters of interest and resumes rather than nominate candidates immediately. Meeting staff said the application and instructions will be posted with the agenda and collected by email.
Neely Crews, management analyst, said the application is posted with the agenda and that "my email, that will be the way that folks can fill it out and send it in." She added the board will collect applications through February and that she would distribute copies of submissions to board members after the meeting. Crews provided an email address in the meeting for submissions (bcrews@lasvegasnevada.gov).
Board members agreed they could submit names if they had immediate nominees but otherwise preferred to publicize the opening and evaluate an applicant slate. The presiding officer said candidates should include a resume so the board can evaluate community work and that the historical process has involved an initial posting, a gathering period and then narrowing a slate before selection.
The board did not make any appointments at the meeting and closed agenda item 5 after directing staff to advertise the two positions and circulate application materials to members.
The minutes of the meeting reflect a procedural vote earlier approving the board's regular meeting minutes from Sept. 15, 2025; the board also closed public comment periods with no speakers and adjourned after the scheduled agenda items.
