The Lake County Board of Commissioners elected Commissioner Morris W. Beveridge as president and approved a slate of appointments to county boards and committees, all by unanimous roll-call votes, at the board’s annual organizational meeting.

The clerk introduced a resolution electing "Commissioner Morris W. Beveridge" president. The motion was moved, seconded and approved on a voice and roll call vote with Commissioners Plecnik, McIntosh and Beveridge voting in favor.

After being seated as president, Commissioner Morris W. Beveridge opened with personal remarks and a tribute to the late Commissioner Richard Rekovich, saying, "the word for me today is bittersweet," and thanking staff and colleagues for their support during the transition.

The board then moved through a series of appointments and designations, each approved unanimously by roll call. Among the actions taken: John T. Plecnik was named the board's representative to the Lake County Automatic Data Processing Board, with Joel DeMar and Zachary Underwood named as alternates; Plecnik and Morgan R. McIntosh were designated as members of the Lake County Investment Advisory Committee "in accordance with ORC section 135.341(a),(b) and (c)"; Morgan R. McIntosh was named the board's representative on the Lake County Narcotics Agency Executive Board and to the 9-1-1 Program Review Committee; Beveridge was named as the board's representative to the Lake County Geographic Information System Board (with an alternate listed as "Randy," last name not given in the transcript); Beveridge was also named a representative to the Lake County Board of Revision for 2026; and commissioners were designated as voting representatives for the Lake County Commissioners Association of Ohio’s annual meeting in 2026.
