The Valley County Planning & Zoning Commission took the following formal actions at its Jan. 8, 2026 meeting (each item carries the county’s standard 10‑day appeal period unless otherwise noted):
- Minutes (12/11/2025): Motion to approve carried; minutes adopted.
- CEP/CUP 24‑31 Pearson Ranch (Final Plat): Motion to approve final plat for Pearson Ranch (McCall Landing LLC) and authorize the chair’s signature passed. Staff listed minor technical corrections and conditions to be addressed before recording.
- PUD23‑01 / CEP23‑10 Garnet Valley extension request: Commission approved a one‑year extension conditioned on the applicant delivering a DEQ‑approved water and sewer improvement plan within 12 months and returning with a status update; if the plan is approved, commissioners agreed to consider a second one‑year extension.
- CUP25‑032 McClellan/Smith Solar Panels (30 Flicker Road): After widespread neighbor comment and pilot concerns, the commission tabled the CUP to Apr. 9, 2026 to allow the homeowner and installer to work with neighbors and present a landscaping or relocation mitigation plan.
- CEP25‑033 Brown commercial lease spaces (10 acres on Loomis Lane): The commission approved a commercial lease‑space CEP for storage and staging, with conditions including limited number of approaches (maximum of three was discussed), gravelled driving/parking areas, stormwater/grade plan, landscaping/screening along Highway 55, porta‑potties and a requirement for an annual review to monitor uses.
- CUP25‑034 BamBic Campground (14112 Norwood Road): The commission denied the campground CUP following recommendations from McCall Airport and the Idaho Division of Aeronautics that a campground is incompatible with approach and departure surfaces and could compromise instrument approach procedures and airport grant assurances.
- Facts and conclusions: The commission approved facts and conclusions for previously heard items (Lake Fork Crossing and Olson solar items) and conducted administrative business including election of officers and scheduling regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.
