Council confirms Amy Thompson to ICRC board, names Gleaves alternate

Following nominations, council selected Amy Thompson as the ICRC board appointee and confirmed Mister Gleaves as the board alternate for terms ending Dec. 31, 2027.
Springdale City Council on Jan. 7 completed appointments to the ICRC board and its alternate slot. During the old-business portion of the meeting the council discussed setting two-year terms for ICRC positions and opened nominations.
Mister Gleaves nominated Amy Thompson; another nomination named Tom Vanover. Council conducted an internal poll resulting in a 4–3 tally in favor of Thompson over Vanover. Council then confirmed Amy Thompson to the ICRC board for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027, by voice vote.
For the alternate position, council conducted a similar internal poll and confirmed Mister Gleaves as the alternate for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027, by voice vote. Council President said appointment details and related information had been forwarded to administration.
The council did not voice any objections during the final confirmation votes and moved on to other agenda items.
